Sa Among Kahoy Paingon sa Inyoha

Overburned bokehs. My new wallpaper for the season.
A Christmas tree decoration on a Christmas tree. Pure recursion, I tell you.
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart and the very next day, you hanged it up on your tree.
Ho ho ho. The beer army has come to invade our parteh.

From our tree to yours.

Sa Among Kahoy Paingon sa InyohaFrom our humble, malnourished but taller than usual Christmas tree, my family would like to greet you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to non-Catholics (just in case). Wink2x.

I'm not gonna talk about Santa, his reindeers, Christmas trees, decorations, lights, stockings, gifts, caroling, Noche buena, Lechon and beer. You probably have that stuff already. If you don't have it at home, you probably have seen it everywhere but I will tell you the stuff that makes this Christmas really different for me than it was last year.

No company wide Christmas party. I'm a loyal employee and all I usually attend are parties that are work-related. This year, I've only been to one: Ugdahi ang mga Kasadyaan. Sigh. How sad. No other party and not enough money to join another party. A party person with no parties and no money to party, what do you call that? Just a person? Sad. To make things even more sad, we're gonna be pretty lonely this year.

During Christmas, we usually have Shan and Angel over, my nephew and niece. They visit us because they (and Aunt Joy) want to be with Mama Payling. It is an occasion for the family to be together, right? But since Mama passed away last August, they won't be coming because she's the reason they're here on the 25th. Not only do we lose the noisy kids for Christmas but we've lost Mama entirely. I hope she has a grand time with Papa up there. It's going to be their first Christmas together after over 20 years.

Thinking about last year, I forgot to actually give Mama a Christmas present. What a jerk. Of all people, I forgot to buy my grandmother (who had lived with us for more than 5 years) a gift. I remember I bought her a small photo album a few days after Christmas so I could fill it up with family pictures that she could look at whenever she wanted to. I forgot all about it and have lost the album. Sigh, part 2.

Sa Among Kahoy Paingon sa Inyoha Enough of what we've lost this year and Imma list mah blessings! I didn't have a DSLR last year and I wasn't so in love with photography as I am now. This year, I get to shoot lots of pretty Christmas lights! This is my wallpaper for the season. :) That's probably the best thing for my Christmas this year. Super sad.

The lights may be colorful but on Christmas day this year, it isn't really like that. I guess family and friends are just more important to have during Christmas than any material crap. This is the first lonely Christmas we ever had. No mama, no kids. Although a relative is here, it's just really different when the ones you usually wait for 12 midnight with are not around.

Sa Among Kahoy Paingon sa InyohaOh, wait. I do have something to look forward to! I'm really excited because Amanda is flying over on the 28th. It's going to be the first time we're going to spend the holidays together and we're going to spend it in Cebu! Rock! \m/ My Christmas tree is going to be decorated with lots of hearts <3 all over. Happy, dreamy sigh. ;;)

I hope you get something good this Christmas season. Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Stay close to your family this time, aight?
